With a unique presence in both the UK and South Africa, our cross-border expertise offers our clients the advantage of global insight and local understanding.
Our story
Our story started in late 2003 in the UK when Alistair Reid moved from Cape Town to London. Growing up in Cape Town and attending SACS and then UCT, the opportunity at the time was in London. Alistair’s vision was and always will be a simple one: to help businesses be more successful.
Over the decades, the business has had multiple clients ranging from small start-ups to FTSE 100 listed companies. Clients have included Land Securities, CBRE, Charles Stanley, Medallia, Hartnell Taylor Cook, Bells Buses, Marlin FM and Duracell Energy as well as some public sector charities. In recent years, the South African connection has led to more cross border clients trading in both and between the UK and South Africa. Alistair has felt a pull back to SA with his family and the business was formally expanded into South Africa in 2024 along with a rebranding to Nexus Business Consulting in both the UK and SA.
Nexus currently serves clients in the UK, US and SA and many of these benefit from our unique cross-border experiences and positioning in the market.

Our fees are upfront, fair and transparent
Our fee must meet two criteria for every client:
- be industry competitive and
- be proportionate and affordable for your business
The benefit of our work to your business must exceed the cost of our fees
Our fees are flexible and can follow one of three structures:
- Traditional time-based billing
- Project based fixed fees or
- Commission based or equity linked
